Draft for review: a licensed lawyer must review this document before Money Help launches.
The short version
- Money Help is an online service, so we give you our agreements and notices in the app and by email instead of on paper.
- You can ask for a free paper copy at any time, in More → Download or delete my data.
- You can stop agreeing to electronic notices at any time, but because Money Help works only online, we would then need to close your account.
What this covers
Our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, privacy notice for your financial information, consumer health data policy, changes to any of them, and other notices the law requires us to give you, plus account and security messages. [Lawyer to confirm the list, including any future subscription or auto-renewal notices.]
How we send them
We show notices in the app (for example on the screen where you accept a new version) and send them to the email address on your account. Each legal page has its own link and version, so you can open it again at any time.
What you need
A phone, tablet or computer with an up-to-date web browser (recent versions of Safari, Chrome, Edge or Firefox), an internet connection, and an email address you can read. To keep a copy, use your browser to print the page or save it as a PDF. If these requirements change in a way that could stop you from opening our notices, we will tell you and ask you to agree again.
Paper copies
You can ask for a free paper copy of any notice in More → Download or delete my data → Request a free paper copy. We will email you to ask where to mail it. Asking for paper does not withdraw your consent. [Lawyer to confirm: any fee (we plan none) and how long we keep offering copies.]
Withdrawing your consent
You can withdraw your consent at any time by deleting your account in More → Download or delete my data. Because Money Help can only be used online, withdrawing means your account is closed; withdrawing does not affect notices we already gave you electronically. [Lawyer to confirm.]
Keeping your email up to date
Keep the email address on your account current so our notices reach you. [Changing your email in the app is still to come; until then, contact us.]
